What arises when you open the website
Every time a page is opened, your browser sends data that the server records in a log: the address requested, the date and time, the amount of data transferred, whether the request succeeded, your browser and operating system, and your IP address. No page can be delivered without them.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in secure and trouble-free operation. The logs are deleted after 30 days at the latest and are not combined with any other data.
Where the website runs
This website does not run on our own hardware but on a rented server. The company operating it processes the log data described above solely on our behalf and on our instructions; a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place. We will give you its name and address on request.
Cookies and your consent
Simply viewing this website stores nothing in your browser that is not technically necessary. Anything beyond that is asked for by the banner before it happens. Your decision is saved so that you are not asked again on every visit, and you can change it at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
The cookie policy lists every service and cookie in detail, with purpose, duration and recipient. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021.
Visitor counting with Matomo
We count visits with Matomo. Matomo runs on the same server as this website; the data go to no other company and do not leave that server. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored, so that it can no longer be traced to a connection. Counting only happens if you agreed in the banner, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time.
Contact form and email
If you write to us using the form or by email, we process what you provide: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message. We do so in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract results, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Messages are sent to us by email and are additionally stored in the website so that no enquiry is lost. We delete them once the enquiry has been dealt with and no retention obligation stands in the way.
Please do not use the form to send us information about your health, your medication or your prescriptions. Such data are specially protected, and a web form is not the right channel for them. Call us or drop by instead.
WhatsApp and directions
The WhatsApp button and the directions are ordinary links. As long as you do not click, nothing is loaded from WhatsApp or from Google and nothing is transmitted. If you do click, you leave this website and the terms of the respective provider apply.
Who else receives the data
Apart from the company operating the server, we pass your data on to no one. No transfer takes place to countries outside the European Union and the European Economic Area.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to the address above or to office@igelapotheke.at.
